There are many people who are just too nice, lack of ability to say 'no' to anyone and go all out to please other people. Althought being nice is not a bad thing, losing yourself in the process or disregarding your own need is not something that should happen.
Sometime we just don't know how to reject or we don't feel the need to reject. After all, if you can help another person, why not? What we don't realise is that sometimes you do it at your own expense. You may have to go out of your way to fulfill the other person's request and when you do, your own wants and needs get compromised.
STOP BAILING PEOPLE OUT OF THE MESSES THEY GET THEMSELVES INTO.
It may not be easy being more assertive, as people have gotten used to you being a people-pleaser but you can do it. They will notice that you're not as agreeable anymore and while some may realise it's because thay've been asking a lot from you. Some others may think that you've developed an attitude problem. Ignore them and don't be afraid of the negative feedback you may get from some people.
YOU'RE STANDING UP FOR YOUSELF AS YOU SHOULD.
So, arm yourself with 'nos' and be nice about it!
yet......
in some situation, what we all say and what we mean are sometimes two completely different things!
What she says: Nothing's wrong!
What she means : Something is wrong but I'll only tell you after you've asked me a couple more times and I'm convinced that you actually give a crap!
What she doesn't mean: I'm fine.
Kids, be cool!
Hugs*
