First of all, we were asked to fill up a 'Donor Registration' form. Well, it's a consent to donate blood and we were asked a few question to assess whether we are qualify under some eligibility criteria to donate blood.
I bribed him for not to reveal my secret *smug*
Here come the most scary step throughout the whole donation process.
nervous me *shivering*
The 'chronology' of the process to identify my blood type.
And you never know, it was a pretty long moment, and a rather scary one for me, especially before this gentleman took put the needle. Then then then, everything was end in a sound of 'Tack' =)
seriously i felt nothing.
......finally, he categoried me as A type.
altho, i've been thought that i'm O type.
Once you are qualify to donate, you can straight away walk to donation.
Kindly wished I wont be scream like hell or faint by the moment of injection.
Before the doantion, a nurse cleaned the area of my rigth arm that was used for blood donation. All the supplies used in this process, including the needle, are sterile and disposable. Overall, it is pretty safe and nothing really made me uneasy.
Tried to stay calm when the nurse injected on michelle's. I thought she was gonna scream and run away. laugh-out-loud. She was just turned her face to me so I tried to shift her attention by the topic of cake.
For all that, my knees went weak actually and nobody really know that.
goodbye, my blood
The actual blood donation will only take 10 to 15 minutes, depends on individual. And, the entire process was however took us 30 to 40 minutes. After the doantion, we were provided with hot milo as refreshment to replenish the sugar and fluids in our body.
Just realized that it makes me feel good by donating blood, as you know it was my first time attempt. In fact, everytime we donate blood can save up to 4 lives. Each whole blood donation is separated into four components- plasma, platelets, red blood cells and cryo. *it was what we have learnt in biology classroom*.
How amazing we can save up to 16 lives in one year by frequently donating in every 3 months!
Opps..
There is someone worth to write at here. This person was banned from donating her precious blood to the PUSAT DARAH NEGARA as she was suspected by Mad-cow Disease.
oh..take care lorrrr
But all in all, it was a good try, and a fun one.
with love.
